Parking
While parking in Naples can be tricky, there are a few safe options available. Generally, you should avoid parking on narrow streets or at intersections. Additionally, be sure to read signs dictating direction of traffic. Signs with arrows in red indicate who has the right of way.
The crater is spectacular, not far from Naples but in a quiet corner of nature. It’s not stroller friendly and you need to be reasonably fit, but it’s well worth a visit. There is a free car park at the entrance and it can get busy on holidays, but there are plenty of spaces further down the road.
The closest train station is Garibaldi, a short walk from the hotel. It offers a direct service to the city center and is also an easy connection to Mount Vesuvius. You can also take a bus or taxi to the airport, which is approximately 20 miles from the hotel. Alternatively, there are several ferries that run between Naples and Amalfi. Depending on the destination, these trips can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
